Description
Triphala
Triphala, which means ‘three fruits’, is considered the most important nutritional supplement and Rasayana in Ayurveda. It consists of equal parts of the three fruits Amla (Amalaki or Indian gooseberry), Haritaki (panicle myrobalan), and Bibhitaki (green bastard myrobalan). Amla primarily soothes Pitta dosha, Haritaki primarily calms Vata, and Bibhitaki primarily pacifies Kapha. The combination of the three fruits serves to balance all three doshas.
